Bryan Castillo tops Biggest Loser finals

After losing 154 pounds, or 52.56 percent of his body weight, Bryan Castillo from Pembo, Makati City was hailed the Biggest Loser during the final weigh-in of The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition Doubles on Saturday, April 26.

Bryan, 22, who joined the competition with his sister Ikya, now weighs 139 pounds. The Magkapatid Team won the most number of challenges.

“Hindi ko ma-explain ang pakiramdam. Happy ako kasi marami akong nabawas na timbang,” Bryan told host Iza Calzado.

Kayen Lazaro placed second after shedding 50.52 percent of her weight.

Other winners

Bagong BigaTeam’s Francis Asis and Osie Nebreja took the third and fourth place, respectively. From 305 pounds, Francis is down to 156 pounds.  Osie, 45,  proved that age isn’t a factor in losing weight and doing well in the competition. She lost 133 pounds from her original weight of 280 pounds.

Osie and Francis took home double their cash prizes because they are the only pair that made it to the Final Four. Both initially came from different teams.

Bryan took home P1 million, a business franchise package, home appliance showcase, P100,000 worth of sporting goods and accessories and a lifetime gym membership.

Aside from Iza,  the other hosts of The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition Doubles are Matteo Guidicelli and Robi Domingo. Married couple and fitness instructors Jim and Toni Saret trained the contestants.
