‘It’s Showtime’ host now engaged to GF

Eric “Eruption” Tai has already proposed to his non-showbiz girlfriend Rona Samson.

The “It’s Showtime” mainstay offered Samson the ring near Mayon Volcano, Albay over the Holy week break.

Tai shared during Monday’s episode of “It’s Showtime,” how he asked Samson the big question.

“Umakyat kami, siyempre Eruption at Mayon Volcano. Pero nag-camping lang kami doon sa taas then ‘yun I popped the question madaling araw na,” Tai said.

He posted on Instagram a photo of Samson’s hand wearing the engagement ring, captioning it, “@Rownita said YES!!!”

In another post, Tai thanked all the people who helped him make the “memorable moment a breathtaking and unforgettable one.”

For her part, Samson posted on Instagram a photo of them together kissing in front of the Mayon Volcano. She captioned it, “Still on cloud 9. A very beautiful morning from Mayon Volcano.”

She then captioned an accompanying photo of her engagement ring, “The beautiful lights of Legazpi City, the Moon gazing our tent and the man that I love went down on his knees and did this…. So blessed.”
