Articulated bus starts dry run

May 7, 2014 Philippine Local News

Imagine a bus on EDSA that’s 19 meters long and can seat 100 people.

This is the articulated bus, a vehicle that looks like two conjoined buses. The bus has a seating capacity of 100 and a standing capacity of 150 passengers. It also has a speed limiter to minimize accidents.

The articulated bus is conducting a dry run on EDSA Wednesday morning to see if it will help ease the long lines at the Metro Rail Transit.

The bus will make stops at the Buendia, Ayala and Taft Avenue MRT stations for southbound passengers.

It will pass through EDSA underpass and overpass, make stops at Buendia, Ayala and Taft Stations and finally take its turn at the SM Mall of Asia rotunda before ending its run near NAIA Terminal 11.
