Kris-Derek movie canned; Sharon-Goma sitcom delayed

May 16, 2014 Showbiz News

For the second time, Kris Aquino had to turn down a movie project with Derek Ramsay.

Discussing the matter on Monday’s “Kris TV,” she relayed, “Nakausap ko si Tita Cory Vidanes and I was told, ‘You tell Regal hindi puwede.’ So ’yun na.”

Addressing her supposed leading man, she said, “I apologize. Derek Ramsay… I’m obeying my boss.”

Kris earlier made public some details of the project. On Instagram, she posted her photo with manager Boy Abunda meeting with the film’s producers Regal Entertainment and Reality Entertainment and co-star Derek.

Her caption read: “Boy & I were rushing to A&A Wednesday night, we taped & I forgot to upload. Here’s hoping the movie project (an adult relationship drama about going with the flow of love after mutual failed relationships) w/ @ramsayderek11 to be directed by Erik Matti pushes through. Roadblocks? Tight shooting schedule, readiness of the script & most importantly approval from my boss @cvvidanes, right @montie08?”

Kris also revealed last March that due to her tight schedule, she had to turn down the independent film “Maratabat (Dangal at Katarungan)” by Arlyn dela Cruz, which would have been her first team-up with Derek.

‘Feud’ delays Sharon-Goma sitcom?

Sharon Cuneta is clueless about the reported feud between her and Richard Gomez, her leading man in an upcoming TV5 sitcom “My Pirated Family.”

In an interview with News5, she said, “Nagtataka kaming pareho. Saan galing iyon? Because someone asked him nga raw and he said it never happened…”

The supposed dispute allegedly caused the delay of their show, which was earlier announced to replace “Madam Chairman,” the Megastar’s first teleserye as a Kapatid.

“My Pirated Family” will reportedly run when “Confessions of a Torpe” folds.

The Sharon Cuneta-Richard Gomez love team was reunited on TV via the former’s “Madam Chairman” back in January. Gomez also appeared as guest on the weekly musical show “The Mega and the Songwriter,” co-hosted by Sharon and Ogie Alcasid.

The Mega-Goma tandem is also set to be seen in one of the made-for-TV movies of Studio5 Original Movies.
