Kris on James’ girlfriend: I like her

TV host-actress Kris Aquino only has good words for Michela Cazzola, the girlfriend of her former husband James Yap.

Kris said during the Thursday, May 8  episode of Kris TV, “In fairness to her, naghanda siya. Cute ng mga gifts niya for Bimb (Kris’ son Bimby Yap). I like her na. I like her. At least she’s good to my son.”

Kris commended Michela’s efforts in giving Bimby a birthday gift and cake. The TV-host actress added that Michela, James and his son Bimby had a Japanese dinner.

A for effort

“A for effort. The fact that she has gifts for you, I like her. And alam niya kung ano ang mga gusto ni Bimb. Alam niya na Bimb likes yung softdrink na starts with letter S and blue yung favorite color niya,” Kris explained.

She also said that Bimby enjoyed spending time with his dad and Michela.

Before that, the boy and his brother Josh watched James’ basketball game together with Michela.

“Nahihiya si Bimb magkwento. (I asked) ‘Did you have fun?’ He said, ‘Yeah. Are you mad?’ I said, ‘No, of course not!’ So baka iniisip niya na ma-hurt ako kung nag-enjoy siya,” Kris related.

Closer to Bimby

Kris stressed that she wants Bimby to become closer to his father.

James, for his part said in a previous interview that he is going the extra mile to get closer to Bimby.

“Ginagawa ko yung kaya ko hangga’t kaya kasi mahirap rin naman na once a week lang. So medyo mahirap iyon. So kailangan double effort talaga. Ginagawa ko naman yung part ko as a father na mapalapit sa anak ko. Hindi ko rin naman sinasabi yung ginagawa namin every Friday.”

Politely saying no

Kris also invited Michela to the celebration of Bimby’s recent seventh birthday, but the latter politely turned the invitation down.

“Hindi daw pupunta si Michaella, nag-text (si James). Here’s the text, ‘I truly appreciate your invitation. I do not want to intrude in this special occasion but I’m looking forward to other chances to celebrate. Wishing the birthday boy a wonderful party,'” Kris said in a previous episode of “Kris TV.”
