Vicki Belo clarifies rumors about Raymart Santiago

Vicki Belo used only one word to describe rumors linking her to Raymart Santiago: “Kalokohan.”

Belo’s supposed relationship with Claudine Barretto’s estranged husband became hot gossip after a news item came out last week alleging that she gave Santiago a P1,050,000 check in November 2007.

Belo told ABS-CBN News, “You know, I don’t remember. It’s 2007. And I know Claudine never accepts payment for anything, eh. Pero hindi ko nga alam… sabi nga… wala ’yung pangalan ko do’n sa tseke. Deposit slip lang. So puwedeng imbentuhin ’yan (na) ‘from Dr. Belo.’ Wala namang check number na pinakita. So parang kalokohan lang!”

Eager to clear speculations, Belo added, “Ninang ako ni Raymart and Claudine and all I do is talk to them to get back together. That’s all I really want. I know it’s not impossible with the Lord.”

The celebrity doctor reiterated, “I never really, ever in my entire life saw Raymart without Claudine while they were married. And the only times I’ve seen Raymart after, when they split up, is going to his restaurant and eating his wonderful black paella.”

Belo, who was previously in an equally controversial relationship with Hayden Kho Jr., added, “Sabi ko, ‘Siguro wala na talagang istorya ngayon. Ako na naman!’ At saka ang pinakamasakit do’n, nagbabayad na naman ako? Ano ba! Gano’n ba talaga ako ka-pangit? Hoy, excuse me!”

Belo said she has yet to talk to Barretto about the issue.

Apart from Belo, Santiago is also being linked to his “Villa Quintana” co-star Bettina Carlos.

Barretto, on the other hand, scored another controversy after posting a couple of photos with a guy identified simply as Mark Anthony, whom she claimed to be her friend and colleague.
