What Dina thinks of the Vic-Pauleen romance

Vic Sotto’s former wife Dina Bonnevie appreciates his girlfriend, Yahoo Celebrity Awards 2014 Best Female TV Host nominee Pauleen Luna, for getting along with the comedian-host’s children.

“Lots of people probably judge Pauleen kasi parang bata iyan. ‘How can she be falling in love with a 60-year-old? Come on, di ba?’ Parang it’s next to impossible. Pero hindi natin ma-judge yung tao eh. Iniisip ko na lang na parang through all this, she has to deal with Danica, with Oyo, with Vico and Paulina (Vic’s children). Parang that’s not an easy task to do. So the mere fact na andiyan siya, it must be something,” Dina told “The Buzz” on Sunday, June 15.

Standing by the relationship

Dina praises Pauleen for standing by the May-December relationship, which has been going strong for two years now.

“Maybe it’s not right for people to judge her na she’s not sincere. Kasi some people will say that she’s after the money. Pero can you imagine na andiyan pa siya? A for effort iyon. Parang wow. Parang hindi naman madali iyon.”

Dina and Vic, Yahoo Celebrity Awards 2014 Best Male TV Host nominee, remain “very good friends.”

Always there for Vic

“Vic knows na whatever it’s worth, kung meron namang mangyari and he needs my help, I will always be here,” Dina said in a separate interview.

Pauleen thanked Dina for praising her. In a  statement sent to “The Buzz,” Pauleen said, “My situation is a simple example of ’The people who know you the least judge you the most.’ That’s why I am thankful for Ms. Dina who knew what I was going through and spoke the truth.”

Pauleen added, “I truly appreciate the fact that she sees my efforts. I am grateful for her kind words and most especially for respecting my relationship with Vic. I am truly humbled.”
