Kylie Padilla admits Aljur Abrenica broke up with her

After more than a year of being together, Kapuso stars Aljur Abrenica and Kylie Padilla have called it quits.

Kylie herself confirmed this in an interview on “Startalk” on Saturday, May 31.  She refused to disclose the reason behind the breakup and denied that a third party is involved.

The third party rumors surfaced after Kylie and Aljur were romantically linked to their onscreen partners Geoff Eigenmann and Louise delos Reyes, respectively.

Very  hurt

“I don’t wanna say (the reason). Maraming magagalit sa kanya. Hindi lang naman sa side niya (ang third party rumors). There were also rumors of me having a third party, so nakaapekto rin sa kanya iyon. After that, nagulo na lahat,” Kylie said.

Robin Padilla’s daughter admitted she was very hurt over the third party rumors and the breakup.

“Nagalit ako kasi lahat ng effort na ginawa namin, nasira for something na hindi naman totoo. Bakit kailangang ganoon yung nangyari? Nasayang sa walang kuwentang dahilan.”

Geoff Eigenmann is not the reason

Kylie denied that Geoff, her former “Adarna” costar, caused the breakup.  She revealed that they became close while working together, but they did not go beyond the boundaries of friendship.

“Me and Geoff we’re so similar, we came from showbiz families. We’re both middle children, so talagang nag-click kami. Maybe people saw na talagang close kami. Nilagyan talaga nila ng malisya. After that, parang awkward na sa akin, kaya umiwas na lang ako kay Geoff. Umeffort talaga siya. Ang hirap kasi na magka-love team kayo tapos may awkward moments.”

Is she willing to become Aljur’s friend?

“It’s hard to be friends with someone you love. You’ll just fall in love again,” she replied.

Only the best

But she has no ill feelings toward her ex and wishes him only the best. Kylie even thanked Aljur for the things she learned from him.

“Ang daming galit sa kanya ngayon at ang dami na rin nagsasabi sa akin na naapektuhan na rin siya. I just want to say na be strong. Lahat naman tayo nagkakamali, even me. Sana may natutunan ka sa nangyari. Marami akong natutunan. Sana sa susunod alagaan na natin ang mga future relationships natin. Love is supposed to be precious, not painful.”
