Raymart’s reaction to new photos of Claudine’s scarred legs

August 1, 2014 Showbiz News

The Raymart-Claudine saga is far from over, with Claudine Barretto posting new photos of scarred legs on her Instagram account, supposedly to thank Dra. Acel and God for the ‘super great progress’, in apparent reference to the treatment she’s getting to remove the scars.

The Instagram account @claubarretto posted two photos.  She did not identify the bruised/scarred legs as hers, but the captions both gave thanks to Doc Acel, making it appear these photos were of her legs.

Instead of gaining sympathy from her followers, however, many bashers commented on the posts.  Many of them expressed disappointment over her attitude or saying they have seen her wearing skimpy outfits wherein she showed no signs of the scars or bruises on her legs.

Others went as far as accusing her of being KSP (kulang sa pansin; attention-seeker) and using drugs.  Some also suggested the wounds were self-inflicted or due to liposuction.

Raymart’s reaction

As for her ex-husband Raymart, he merely laughed off the new photos when asked by Chika Minute’s Nelson Canlas.  In a clip broadcasted on GMA News’ 24 Oras, he denied any knowledge about the new photos, in jest saying that he did not make a ‘follow-up’.

He said that matters like Claudine’s new photos of his alleged domestic abuse should not be posted and discussed on Twitter or Instagram; instead, such should be done in court.  After all, his ex-wife already filed a case against him in court.  He wants it to be a matter over which the courts will decide, not the media nor the public.

Since there were already rumors circulating of Raymart’s alleged relationship with Bettina Carlos, his co-star in Villa Quintana, Canlas also asked him whether the rumors were true.  Again, he simply laughed at the question, saying he is not currently looking for love; although he does not discount the possibility of finding a new love in the future.

At the moment, he is focused on work.  He has upcoming projects to work on, with “Kahati Sa Langit” as his next project.

Claudine’s new endorsement?

Mere days after Claudine posted the ‘battered wife’ photo, she posted some photos taken at a vermac booth at the SMX Convention Center, with the company’s slogan of ‘Wounds heal thru time’ clearly shown at her back.

This sparked speculations that the previous photos were merely teasers to a new endorsement.

Dr. Acel Ampong-Chicano, the owner of Xyderm [the company behind the vermac], denied this, however.  She said Claudine is just one of her patients, who just happens to be a celebrity.  She is not an official product endorser but merely posted the photos to show her support and to thank them [for helping remove her scars].
