The real reason why KC Concepcion went to the US

August 14, 2014 Showbiz News

Kapamilya actress KC Concepcion denied taking a break from showbiz early this year because she was pregnant, or was hurting after she didn’t get the coveted “Dyesebel” role that went to Anne Curtis.
KC stressed that she went to the US to pursue an acting course.

“Yung trip ko for the States was three years in the making. Hinanapan ko talaga ng time iyon. Since July or August nag-States na ako ng time na iyon. Doon ko naplano na magpapaalam ako sa ABS-CBN, Dreamscape and Viva na kung pwede and they gave me a go-signal,” KC said at the presscon of the ABS-CBN teleserye “Ikaw Lamang.”

Pregnancy issue

Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion’s daughter also denied being the source of rumors that she will bag the Dyesebel role.

“Nagkataon na lumabas yung “Dyesebel” and people were asking me on Twitter, kasi may lumalabas na publicity raw. So hindi din po sa amin nanggaling yung speculations at ang daming nagtatanong sa Twitter. It’s just that I need to clear it up na hindi talaga. Pero iyon, pinalaki na lang ng pinalaki yung issue.”

KC also discussed the pregnancy issue, which she denied by posting a photo of her slim, fit figure on Instagram.

“Yung buntis issue, since 18 years old ako at tuwing umaalis ako ng bansa, ‘buntis’ ako. Kapag pumayat akong bumabalik, ‘nagpa-abort or si Miel (KC’s sister) ang anak ko.’ Tapos hindi na daw si Miel, si Miguel (KC’s brother) na daw.”

Hurting

The actress admits the rumors hurt her, especially if her loved ones are affected.

“Kapag dumadating na sa point na yung family parang nabi-brainash na ng mga tao, naririnig nila lagi, kapag sila na yung mga nagtatanong parang doon nagiging personal. Kasi iba na iyon eh. Kunwari pinaguusapan or naririnig ni Frankie (KC’s sister) sa school, hindi na nakakatuwa. I don’t want having to clear rumors that are just rumors.”

Aside from KC, “Ikaw Lamang” also stars Coco Martin, Kim Chiu, Christopher de Leon, Amy Austria, Joel Torre, Rio Locsin, Nonie Buencamino, Mylene Dizon, Arlene Muhlach, Smokey Manaloto, Jojit Lorenzo and Alora Sasam.
