Kim Chiu won’t work with Maja, Gerald yet

Fans of Kim Chiu, Maja Salvador and Gerald Anderson have to wait before they see their idols together in one project.

Kim is not yet ready to work with Maja even if they have settled their differences a year after their rift.  Neither is Kim prepared to work with Gerald, her ex-boyfriend and Maja’s current squeeze.

“Huwag muna, mainit init pa. Kung kami, okay na kaming tatlo. Pero yung mga fans, iba pa yung tingin nila. So might as well i-smoothen muna natin lahat,” Kim said in an interview on “Cinema News.”

For the fans’ sake

If she had her way, Kim would like to work with Maja and Gerald.  But the “Ikaw Lamang” star doubts if  their respective fans will like it.

“Utang namin sa mga fans kung saan kami ngayon and it will depend on them kung paano nila tatanggapin. In time.”

Kim admits her relationship with Maja has changed.

No longer best friends

“Wala ng closeness. Civil na lang. Chika-chika, pero hindi na talaga best of friends.”

Kim would rather focus on her teleserye “Ikaw Lamang,” which features new cast members, including KC Concepcion. She knows some viewers are pitting her and KC against each other, but  Kim shrugs off the ‘competition.’

“Hindi naman natin maiiwasan na yung mga sumusuporta sa akin, gusto nila all the best for me. And sa part ni KC, ganoon din.”

The Cebuana actress thinks highly of  KC as an actress.

“First time ko siya makatrabaho, siyempre kinakabahan kasi ang dami na niyang best actress awards. Nakakasama ko naman na siya before sa (ASAP) Hang Out and cool naman siya. Ngayon hindi ko alam yung mae-experience namin na mag-ate (in the teleserye),” Kim said.
