[WATCH] Did Cedric threaten Vhong with ‘It’s showtime’ remark?

Lawyer Atty. Howard Calleja on Wednesday played down the cryptic message of his client, businessman Cedric Lee, to actor-host Vhong Navarro after he was released on bail.

Upon his release, Lee was asked by reporters about his message to the actor. Smiling, he answered, ”It’s showtime!” which some netizens have interpreted as a threat to Navarro.

But in an interview over DZMM on Wednesday, Calleja said there is no reason to give malice to Lee’s statement.

”There’s nothing bad or malicious about that… Baka masaya lang ‘yung tao or nami-miss niyang manood ng TV,” he said.

However, Calleja said he would remind his client not to give statements like that.

The TV host earlier aired his concern for the safety of his family following the release of Lee and co-accused Simeon ”Zimmer” Raz, Jr.

Navarro sued Lee, Raz and three others, including model Deniece Cornejo, for illegally detaining him last January 22 in a condominium in Taguig City.
