Purefoods statement about a photo circulating the internet about one of their product

With product quality and safety as the top priority, The Purefoods-Hormel Company Inc. (“the Company”) complies with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements in order to consistently provide products that meet and even exceed customer expectations.

The Company is certified by three management systems: ISO 22000:2005, ISO 9001:2008, and ISO 14000:2004 and its Plant is accredited as an AAA Plant by NMIS and GMP. The circulating Facebook post concerning the Company’s Star Hotdog (the “Product”) which appears to have hair strands, has come to the attention of the Company. The Company wishes to advise the public that with the foregoing safety measures in place and the production process which the Product undergoes, it is not possible or even probable for said hair strands to have been embedded in the Product.

The Company vigorously protects its good name and reputation. The Company shall not hesitate to take legal action against any person who maliciously tarnishes said good name and reputation, which the Company has painstakingly developed and sustained through years of hardwork.
