Love is a very powerful emotion; it could either make you move mountains or jump off of cliffs, or in this case, attempt to jump out an apartment window. Wearing her wedding dress, a distressed bride in Changchun, Jilin province in China attempted to jump off the seventh-storey window of a residential building.

An unidentified 22-year-old apparently lost all hope when her boyfriend of four years (fiance) broke up with her days before their nuptials. She was eventually rescued by Guo Zhong Fan, a local community officer, and several other men who assisted.

The office director in Changchun’s Kuancheng district grabbed the woman’s shoulders and neck before managing to pull her back up to safety.

The woman suffered no injuries and was taken away in an ambulance.
