It’s business as usual at the Department of Justice (DOJ) despite the ongoing vigil of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) in front of the agency.

But the demonstration has already affected scheduled hearings on some complaints filed before the DOJ’s National Prosecution Service.

This includes the preliminary probe on the libel case filed by suspended Makati Mayor Junjun Binay against a number of personalities, including Senator Antonio Trillanes.

Binay was unable to submit his reply affidavit since he could not enter through Padre Faura Street.

As a result, the probe has been postponed to September 10.

Meanwhile, patients at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH), especially those going to the facility’s outpatient department, are complaining because they are having a hard time accessing the hospital.

The Manila Police District said there are about 3,000 protesters taking part in the INC vigil at the DOJ.

Police said the group’s permit does not say when the vigil will end.
