“Kung wala si Jane, there is no story.”
These were the strong words of Boy Abunda as he spoke up on the supposed “attitude problem” of celebrity housemate Jane Oineza inside the “Pinoy Big Brother” (PBB) house.
During the Sunday episode of “The Buzz,” Abunda and his co-hosts Toni Gonzaga and Kris Aquino sat with evicted “PBB” housemates Aina Solano, Michele Gumabao and Jayme Jalandoni as they all talked about why the other housemates don’t seem to like Oineza.
Abunda’s theory is that the other housemates probably expect her to be like them.
“I’ll take a different tact. Baka naman you guys expected her to be like you. What if this is just a young girl growing up, committing her mistakes and eventually becoming better? Kasi I’ll be very frank, kung wala si Jane, ang boring sa loob. Kung wala si Jane, there is no story,” he said.
Abunda also noted that “PBB” is not a convent where only nice people should be inside.
“Let’s remember, ang PBB ba ay bahay ng mga anghel, bahay ng mga pinakamababait? I’m provoking a discussion. Hindi naman ito kumbento. I have nothing against sisters but baka naman ang ating pananaw, masyado nating hinuhulma doon na she has to be like us for her to be good. Baka naman ang mga ibang housemates ang hindi totoo at si Jane lang ang totoo,” he said.
Saying there should be strength in diversity, Abunda said he still respects the opinions of the other housemates about Oineza.
“What you have control and what I respect is your reaction towards her because that’s yours. But you’re trying to do a commentary on who she is using the prism of what is good according to you. Para sa akin, hindi, kasi ang bahay ni Kuya hindi naman ito langit,” he said.
Since Sunday afternoon, “Tito Boy” has been one of the most talked about topics on Twitter in the Philippines.
