Ai-Ai delas Alas admits two-week bout with Bell’s Palsy

November 13, 2014 Showbiz News

Some people may frown at Ai-Ai delas Alas and boyfriend Gerald Sibayan’s May-December relationship, but the comedienne shared that their 30-year-age gap is not a problem at all.

Gerald is a 20-year-old student and badminton player, while Ai-Ai just turned 50 last Tuesday, November 11.

Divine providence

“Siguro divine providence. Kahit nga ako nagtataka kung paano kami nagkakasundo,” Ai-Ai said at the press conference of “Past Tense,” her newest movie with Kim Chiu and Xian Lim.

Her boyfriend seems to be mature for his age and would rather stay home and play badminton than go out.

No gimmicks

Her children support Ai Ai’s relationship with Gerald.

Kaya ang sarap pala magkaroon ng peace,” she said.

Forced break

The Kapamilya star also revealed Bell’s Palsy kept her from shooting “Past Tense” for two weeks.

“Past Tense” is Ai Ai’s reunion movie with Kim and Xian after “My Binondo Girl.”

Siyempre kaya sila ang the best for me. Pero ngayon sila muna, kasi sila yung napakaraming fans,” Ai-Ai joked about her relationship with Kim and Xian.

“Past Tense” centers on the colorful life of Bhe (Ai Ai), who wakes up from a 20-year coma and gets the chance to correct past mistakes. The romantic comedy, directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar, opens in cinemas on Wednesday, November 26 as part of Star Cinema’s 20th anniversary celebration.
