Bittersweet ending for ‘Be Careful with My Heart’

September 27, 2014 Showbiz News

After more than two years on the air, the romantic-comedy morning teleserye “Be Careful with My Heart” will come to an end on November 28.

Filipino viewers witnessed the journey of Maya and Ser Chief, played by Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap, respectively; as employee-employer to married couple and parents.

One big happy family

“There’s sadness that it has to end but we’re also happy that matatapos na maganda, patapos na dahil kailangan nang tapusin,” Richard said in a press conference on Thursday, September 25.

He also shared that he will miss the fun of working with the cast members.

Jodi also has “bittersweet” feelings about the series’ impending end.

“Pero lahat naman ng nagsisimula ay may katapusan. Alam din naman namin na darating yung yugto na ito sa programa.”

More than two years of doing the teleserye has made the cast members treat each other like family.

Relationship questions

“May mga ups and downs, may moods, may kasayahan, meron minsang hindi mga pagkakasundo, but at the end of the day, nananaig yung pag-uunawaan at pagmamahalan,” Jodi said.

Despite their respective partners, Jodi and Richard are still asked if romance is possible between them if they are not attached to somebody else.

Jodi is in a relationship with Jolo Revilla, while the happily-married Richard has two children.

“I don’t know. Mahirap sagutin iyan, kasi si Jodi hindi naman siya mahirap mahalin, she’s a lovable person. She’s funny. Hindi na naming iniisip iyon kasi we treat each other as friends,” Richard replied.

Taking a break

Jodi, on the other hand, said, “Bakit naman hindi? Matalino, gwapo, marunong sa buhay, mabango.”

After the series ends, Jodi and Richard would like to take a rest before taking on new projects.

“I’ll be doing “Praybeyt Benjamin 2.” After that, maybe I’ll take a rest muna and focus on my businesses first,” Richard said.
