It’s final: Sen. Chiz Escudero and Heart Evangelista are tying the knot on February 15, 2015 in Balesin, Polillio, Quezon Province.
The 44-year-old senator told The Phillippine Star in an exclusive interview that he and Heart will have a “separate and bigger reception in Manila the next day.” Their friends from politics and entertainment will be invited.
The guest list on their actual wedding day, however, is limited. Escudero said only 100 people are invited because they are avoiding a “circus-like wedding with so many people around.”
The wedding date and venue became controversial when it was reported that TV host Cesca Litton’s wedding reservastion got bumped off because Chiz and Heart wanted to get married in Balesin on February 14, the day she (Cesca) wanted to tie the knot in the same venue.
But Balesin’s chair Roberto Ongpin said nobody got bumped off and it was he who invited Heart and Chiz to hold their wedding in the exclusive island.
Chiz has fraternal twins — seven-year-old Quinoa and Chesi (a boy and a girl) — by his former wife, Christine Flores. The marriage was annulled last July.
Chiz denied that his upcoming wedding is politically-motivated, and explained that he was re-elected senator in May 2013 without the help of Heart, already his girlfriend at that time.
