David Foster describes international singing sensation Charice as “irreplaceable.”
The Grammy-winning Canadian producer is one of the celebrity judges of AXN’s Asia’s Got Talent, along with former Spice Girl Melanie C, Indonesian rock star Anggun and Taiwanese-American Van Ness Wu of F4 fame.
David also happens to be a godfather of the Filipina singer.
He says about his godchild, “Charice is a phenomenal singer and you know what? The more I look around this world and see other singers…[the more I realize] she’s irreplaceable.
“I haven’t met anyone that good and I really mean ‘Whew!’”
This was revealed by David in an interview recently with Bulletin Entertainment.
The 16-Time Grammy winner also expressed his desire to collaborate anew with Charice.
In 2009, David served as the co-producer of her song “Note to God,” which Charice debuted on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
This Diane Warren song also served as the first North American single of Charice’s self-titled album. David also co-wrote and co-produced the third track titled “In This Song.” He disclosed that he and the 22-year-old singer are “talking about maybe getting together again” for a possible collaboration.
The international composer also wants to serve as Charice’s mentor in order to enhance her skills as a singer.
“We did not have enough chance to develop her as an artist [before].
“It’s well-documented that she’s had personal issues that sort of slowed down her progress as entertainer… [but] there’s lots more you’re gonna hear from Charice and maybe I’ll get the opportunity to be that guy to get the best vocal out of her,” said David.
