Herbert Bautista on Kris Aquino: No boyfriend-girlfriend relationship

Despite reports that he and Kris Aquino went out on dates, Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista said the actress-TV host did not officially become his girlfriend.

“Ang boyfriend-girlfriend kasi, is something as intense as you can express yourself. Hindi kami umabot doon. Andoon sa infant stage ng relationship, sabay, pak, naudlot,” Herbert said in an interview with Anthony Taberna in “Tapatan ni Tunying” on Thursday, October 2.

Very thankful

Kris admitted dating Herbert in April. A week after, the two reportedly stopped dating because of Herbert’s issue with his family.

“Ang feeling ko that time was I’m very thankful that a person like Kris Aquino has acknowledged someone like Herbert Bautista,” he added.

On September 19. Kris admitted in an interview on “The Buzz” that she hasn’t moved on and is still hurting from the failed relationship.

‘Bubog sa puso’

“May bubog pa sa puso,” she said.

Herbert, meanwhile, denied accusations that he dated Kris for political reasons.

“Totoo naman iyon na maging ganoon ang itsura. But it never came to the point na even yung feeling namin naggagamitan kami. Kasi unang-una, we never talked about politics. We talked about political figures, but we don’t talk about politics.”

Herbert is now more focused on his children whom he wants to protect from bad influences.

Still single

“Ito kasi yung stage ng mga anak ko na nasa stage of discovery. Yung makakalimutan yung responsibilities, I don’t want that to happen to my kids.”

Herbert never married any of his children’s respective mothers although he’s had longtime relationships with them. He added that he’s not even sure if he’ll ever get married.

“Yung drama nga ng buhay na dinaanan ko, different from others, perhaps hindi ko din masabi kasi baka naman may katulad. Yung dinanas naming sakit sa isa’t isa, hindi siya buo. Hindi ako buo, hindi rin sila buo sa paningin ko, hindi rin ako buo sa paningin nila. So, kung mag-aasawa ako, sa pangatlo. Or baka hindi na.”
