Is there still a chance for Angel Locsin to portray Darna?

Pilipinas Got Talent’s 5th Season is set to hit TV screens anytime soon. Kapamilya star Angel Locsin will serve as one of the show’s new judges alongside Vice Ganda, Robin Padilla and Freddie Garcia.

In an interview during the first day of the PGT auditions at the KIA Theater, Angel described how she will be as a judge. “Mabait na may topak, kasi way back nagkaroon din ako ng opportuntiy na magpakita ng talent tapos may nagbigay sa akin ng chance. So ngayon gusto ko sanang suklian kung ano ‘yung binigay sa akin na chance ng tao so gusto kong mag yes sa lahat pero hindi naman pwede kasi kailangan nating maging honest din sa mga ibang contestants,” she explained.

With numerous aspirants wanting to take a shot at stardom, Angel shared the qualities that she is looking for in a winner. “Siyempre pang world class ang talent but sa akin kasi hindi lang ‘yung talent ang susi para maging sikat ka, para mahalin ka ng tao gusto ko ‘yung may good attitude at magic.”

Aside from PGT, Angel’s 2016 is off to a good start as her new movie with Vilma Santos and Xian Lim titledEverything About Her is slated to show in cinemas this January 27. However, as announced last year, she will no longer take part in this year’s Darna movie.

But a number of netizens are still hoping for the actress to play the role. When asked about her reaction on this, Angel answered, “Hindi naman sa hoping baka iba naman ‘yung dating but alam niyo naman kasi kung gaano kaimportante sa akin ‘yung project, kung gaano ko kamahal, kung gaano ko siya tini-treasure kaya siguro kung ano ‘yung makakapagpasaya sa akin ‘yun din ‘yung gusto nila.”: Angel Locsin reveals health problem that made her to let go of Darna role.

Is there still a chance that she will be Darna? “Hindi ko po alam. Ewan ko po,” was her only reply.
