Kris Aquino says Boy Abunda will not return to work anytime soon

Queen of All Media Kris Aquino reveals that her good friend for 16 years and co-host in ‘The Buzz’ and in ‘Aquino and Abunda Tonight’ Boy Abunda is not expected to return to television anytime soon.

The Kris TV host said in last Sunday’s episode of ‘The Buzz’ that Boy is finally out of the hospital, but is set to come back for a follow up check-up within this week. Boy Abunda will also go on a vacation somewhere to speed up his recovery upon Kris’ advice.

Boy forbade Kris to reveal where he will go, but the actress described that the place is going to be private where there would be lots of sun, sand and beautiful water.

Kris said that the Philippines King of Talk lost more than 2o pounds during his hospitalization and treatment so he needs to  rest and recuperate.  Kris said Boy will definitely return to television, but she cannot say when since Boy said she’s not allowed to say the date of his return to work.

Kris had to cut short her trip to New York last month and fly back to Manila when Boy was hospitalized since the latter cannot go to work and no one will host their show ‘Aquino and Abunda Tonight’ which airs live every night.

Kris said that she can’t enjoy her vacation while Boy is in the  hospital. She said that she will have more vacation opportunities in the future and her topmost priority at the moment is to allow Boy to fully recover.

The 58-year-old  host/talent manager had been rushed to the hospitalized last month because his body temperature reached 41 degrees Celsius and he had undergone a series of tests, including a CT scan, to determine what’s wrong with him.

Boy’s treating physician revealed in a statement that the host underwent an aspiration for his liver abscess.
