Nikki Gil’s classy reply when asked about Billy Crawford

Billy Crawford’s ex-girlfriend Nikki Gil wants nothing to do with the controversies surrounding the “It’s Showtime” host’s recent detention at the Taguig Police Station due to charges of malicious mischief and disobedience to a person in authority.

“I was asked about it, which I don’t understand because I’m not involved in any way. But I wasn’t raised to celebrate the misfortune of others. I guess that’s all I have to say about the issue,” Nikki said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

The Kapamilya singer-actress, who is reportedly dating a businessman, is also non-committal about why Billy never got into such an incident when they were still together.

“I don’t want to comment on that. You know, there are other parties involved din, eh. Respetuhin na lang natin iyon. I really don’t want to comment on that.”

In a separate interview on “The Buzz” on Sunday, September 14, Billy clarified that his girlfriend, Coleen Garcia, had nothing to do with the drunken incident.

“Unang-una po sa lahat, sa mga spekulasyon po ng mga tao na kami ni Coleen ay nag-away or something, let’s just put that to rest. Actually she had nothing to do with this.”

Billy’s reason

Billy explained he got upset after some men in a club where he and Coleen went to after the Star Magic Ball, poked fun at them.

“There were a few guys. Nobody knew who they were, I didn’t know who they were, and they ended up in the same section where we were. They kept on pointing fingers, laughing, nang-iinis sa amin, nang-aasar na. Ako, I’m on my guard na, I’m with Coleen, I don’t want anything to happen to her, to our friends and to myself as well. Umabot na sa konting pisikal at konting dakdak.”

Billy turned himself over to the precinct because he felt agitated and had to be in a controlled environment.

Feeling stressed

“I didn’t want to drive because I might end up hurting myself or anyone else. Eksakto I saw the precinct. I walked over seeking for help because I needed to calm down.”

“Siguro it was my fault. I am the type who never opens up to anyone. I keep everything here. I was raised to make anyone else happy and comfortable. No matter how close someone gets to you, I don’t want to involve you with my problems. That was my mistake.”
