Sarah wins international song contest

Sarah Geronimo tops the 10th International Song Contest: The Global Sound for her song, Kilometro.

The Popstar Royalty represented the Philippines and competed against 26 other qualifying countries with its corresponding song artists. Among them were popular singers from Belarus, Latvia, New Zealand, South Korea, Italy, Colombia, Denmark, Australia, Venezuela, Brazil, Turkey, Peru, Argentina, Lithuania, Mexico, Malaysia, Albania, The Netherlands, France, USA, Sweden, Singapore, United Kingdom, Portugal and the Dominican Republic.

The contest determines the winner through  international jurors and YouTube views. Watch Kilometro‘s official music video below:

Sarah was first chosen by the Filipino jury in the 5th edition with the song “Sino Nga Ba Siya”, where she failed to qualify to the final. However, she was chosen again in the 10th and won.

She is the first returning artist to ever win the competition on their second try.
