Singer – Actress joins the wedding engagement bandwagon

Actress-singer Nikki Gil has confirmed that she is engaged to her non-showbiz boyfriend, ending weeks of speculation over photos of her wearing a ring.

The 27-year-old Kapamilya star confirmed the engagement in an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN News’ MJ Felipe, which will be aired in the Friday telecast of “Bandila.”

Gil has been rumored to be in a relationship with businessman BJ Albert.

Without confirming their status, Gil referred to Albert as “my special friend,” “the one,” and “my source of joy” in a January episode of her news program on music channel MYX.

The “ASAP” mainstay first admitted dating again in November 2013, four months after the controversial end of her five-year relationship with “It’s Showtime” co-host Billy Crawford.
