The story behind Geoff Eigenmann’s Cosmo bachelor bash gimmick

Every year, Cosmopolitan magazine picks 69 of the hottest guys in Metro Manila and parades them in an annual bachelor bash where a crowd of 5,000 get to see them wearing less clothes than usual.

The 10 centerfolds usually cap the night with various gimmicks, like pulling chocolate bars or women’s bras out of their briefs.

Fun with whipped cream

Geoff Eigenmann, one of the 10 centerfolds this year, had something else in mind when he was planning his stunt.

“‘Yung first plan hindi nila (the organizers) kaya. Humingi ako ng xerox machine e. Masyado raw mabigat so whipped cream na lang.”

The whipped cream is destined to land on his chest, with some help from a lucky lady in the crowd.

Asked what the machine is supposedly for, Geoff quipped it’s meant to reproduce a copy of his private parts.

Start of something new

The bachelor bash was thought to be Geoff’s first daring appearance after he transformed from plump to hunk.

“I wouldn’t say I’m 100% prepared. But yeah, I will probably (be going sexy). [It’s the] start of something new,” he related after the show wrapped up.

Yahoo Philippines first reported that Geoff’s mother network GMA served him a fat memo early last year. It made Geoff jobless for six months.

Geoff hit the gym again after his ballooning physique threatened to take his projects away. The new-improved Geoff then graced the January 2014 issue of Men’s Health, which chronicled the Kapuso actor’s three-month transformation.

Nagging fear

However, Geoff conceded the fear of going back to his old self is always there.

“Oo, mahirap. It’s hard na lolobo ka ulit tapos liliit. Better like this. Maintain it.”

Yes, he’s “cheating” on his diet, once in a while.

“But as much as possible hindi. Better pa rin if you maintain a healthy lifestyle and I plan to stick with that.”

Mum on Carla Abellana

Meanwhile, Geoff begged off when Yahoo Philippines asked how he and former girlfriend Carla Abellana are after their breakup early this year.

It will be recalled that Carla announced their split last April. The Kapuso actress, however, refused to elaborate on the cause of the fallout.

Carla has since moved on and is now seeing her “My Destiny” co-star Tom Rodriguez; while Geoff remains single.
