TV host Boy Abunda aired his reaction on Tuesday to “Forevermore” star Liza Soberano’s tweets, which became the subject of criticisms for its usage of the word “gay.”
Soberano, 17, posted but has since deleted tweets pertaining to American boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr., during his May 2 bout with Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao.
The Star Magic artist apologized after being called out by a follower for supposedly using “gay” to ridicule Mayweather, saying it was not her intention to offend or degrade anyone.
The openly gay Abunda, who is also on advocate of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) rights in the country, talked about Soberano’s posts during the live episode of “Aquino & Abunda Tonight.” Here’s what he had to say:
