[WATCH] Elha before joining ‘Voice Kids’

September 1, 2015 Showbiz News

Before she joined second season of “The Voice Kids,” Elha Nympha was a typical girl residing in Quezon City with her family.

She lives with her mother as her father already passed away in 2014.

Now that her life is about to change after winning the ABS-CBN talent search, the 11-year-old singer said she intends to keep her simple lifestyle — something which she learned from her parents.

But before everyone knew the Elha Nympha as the belter from Bamboo Manalac’s Kamp Kawayan, she was just a simple girl who sells banana cue for a living.

On YouTube, a video of the young singer before she joined the competition was uploaded by a netizen under the username Voices Studio Company.

In the clip, Nympha can be seen holding banana cues which she will sell for that day as she grants a request to sing Basil Valdez’s “Ngayon.”

The five-minute video was uploaded last February and even then, some netizens already noticed Nympha’s talent.

Another video of Nypha shows the young artist belting out “Listen.”

On Sunday, Nympha was named the grand champion of “The Voice Kids.” She got 42.16% of votes, followed by Reynan Dal-Anay, Esang de Torres and Sassa Dagdag.

This is the first time that a representative from Bamboo’s Kamp Kawayan has won in the history of the competition.
