The Texas Presbyterian hospital released a video clip showing an emotional Nina Pham talking to one of her physicians. Pham is an American healthcare worker who got infected by Ebola virus while caring for patient Thomas Eric Duncan.

The 26-year-old nurse, who is believed to be the first person to have contracted the deadly disease in the US, has been relocated to a National Institutes of Health facility in Bethesda, Maryland.

During the 56-second clip, the physician can be heard saying:

“Thanks for getting well. Thanks for being part of our volunteer team to take care of our first patient… It means a lot. This has been a huge effort by all of you guys.”

Pham, who seems to be recovering well, even joked: “Come to Maryland. Everybody. Party. Party in Maryland.”

“I love you guys,” she added.

Pham Transferred to Maryland

On Thursday, Pham was successfully transferred to Maryland via chartered flight from Dallas Texas.

The recovering nurse even said that she’s doing well.

In a statement she released through the hospital staff, Pham said:

“I’m so thankful for the outpouring of love and support from friends and family, my coworkers and complete strangers. I feel very blessed and have gained strength from their support. I’m doing really well thanks to this team, which is the best in the world. I believe in my talented coworkers.”

Health officials of the Texas Presbyterian hospital decided to transfer Pham to a more equipped hospital in order to prepare for “whatever comes next”.

Currently, Pham is being treated in the Special Clinical Studies Unit  which is ”specifically designed to provide high-level isolation capabilities and is staffed by infectious diseases and critical care specialists, ” according to National Institute of Health.
