With almost P2 billion in assets and no liabilities, Cynthia Villar has again emerged as the country’s richest senator, based on her official wealth statement.

Her statement of assets, liabilities, and net worth (SALN) for 2014 shows a net worth of P1,983,480,135.

Since assuming her position in 2013, Villar has consistently topped the list of wealthiest senators, following the footsteps of her husband, former Senator Manuel Villar.

Senator Villar’s assets consist of six residential properties, as well as investments in shares of stocks and other real and personal properties.

Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, meanwhile, registered the lowest net worth at P5.5 million.
