Deniece Cornejo sleepless on eve of expected release

September 17, 2014 Philippine Local News

What could be her last night in detention at the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group detention facility in Camp Crame turned out to be a sleepless one for model Deniece Cornejo.

Cornejo said she lost sleep because she was excited to finally be released after posting bail, radio dzBB’s Sam Nielsen reported early Wednesday.

The report said Cornejo even offered to serve coffee to reporters who interviewed her.

Cornejo expects to be released within Wednesday, a day after two of her co-accused, Simeon Raz and Cedric Lee, were released on bail on charges of serious illegal detention.

The charges stemmed from the mauling of TV host and actor Vhong Navarro last January.

A Taguig court allowed the three to post P500,000 bail each.

While Cornejo posted bail on Tuesday, she still has to fulfill several requirements before her temporary freedom.
