Smart Communications, Inc. through its Talk ’N Text brand has partnered with Facebook to launch Internet.org, a Facebook-led initiative that brings together technology leaders, non-profit organizations, and local communities to help connect those who don’t have internet access. This is a global campaign that aims to provide easy Internet access to everyone for free through their mobile phones.

The service was launched in the Philippines last month, and is exclusively available to all Talk ‘N Text, Smart and Sun subscribers.

Internet.org provides access to various news and information websites, including those dealing with health, communication and finance.

Users can also stay connected with their friends through Facebook and Facebook Messenger, even without Wi-Fi connection.
