Possible Largest Pearl in the World Found Again in Palawan, Philippines

The possible largest and most valuable pearl in the world has been found in Palawan, Philippines 10 years ago and surrendered by its owner to the municipality.

The enormous pearl, weighing 34 kilograms (75 lbs), was originally found inside a giant clam, said Puerto Princesa City Tourism Officer, Aileen Cynthia Amurao.

As of the moment, the Pearl of Lao Tzu was the largest known pearl in the world, weighing 6.4 kilograms (14 lbs) and measuring 24 centimeters (over 9 inches) in diameter. It was also found in the Philippines, off the west coast in the Palawan sea.
