(LAST UPDATED AT 1:00 P.M., DEC. 7) — Typhoon Ruby has made its second landfall over Cataingan, Leyte.
Ruby has weakened further, as it now packs maximum sustained winds of 140 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 170 kph.
Typhoon Ruby made its first landfall over Dolores at 9:15pm. PAGASA’s Jori Loiz says Ruby spent some time along Eastern Samar’s coastal area which means it is expected to bring torrential rains.
Ruby is expected to exit PAR on Wednesday early morning.
RUBY TO MAKE LANDFALL 6 TIMES
According to weather bureau PAGASA, Typhoon Ruby will make landfall at least six times from Saturday to Monday.
1st landfall: Dolores, Eastern Samar
Saturday, between 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
2nd landfall: Masbate
Sunday, between 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
3rd landfall: Sibuyan Island
Sunday, between 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
4th landfall: Romblon
Sunday, between 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
5th landfall: Tablas Island
Sunday, between 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
6th landfall: Oriental Mindoro
Monday, between 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

SIGNAL NO. 3 (Winds of 101-185 kph is expected in at least 18 hrs)
LUZON: Masbate including Ticao and Burias Island, Sorsogon, Albay, and Romblon
VISAYAS: Northern Samar and Samar.
SIGNAL NO. 2 (Winds of 61-100 kph is expected in at least 24 hrs)
LUZON: Catanduanes, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Southern Quezon, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro and Occidental Mindoro including Lubang Island.
VISAYAS: Aklan, Capiz, Northern Cebu including Cebu City and Bantayan Island, Eastern Samar, Biliran, Leyte and Southern Leyte.
SIGNAL NO. 1 (Winds of 30-60 kph is expected in at least 36 hrs)
LUZON: Rest of Quezon, Rizal, Pampanga, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Zambales, Bataan, Northern Palawan and Metro Manila.
VISAYAS: Antique, Iloilo, Rest of Cebu and Bohol.
MINDANAO: Dinagat Province and Siargao Island.
