PH Cheerleading team bags bronze in world tilt

The Team Pilipinas Cheerleading squad bagged third place in the World Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, Florida.

The team, which is the only Asian squad in the All-Girls Elite division, competed for the first time in what is considered the “Olympics” of cheerleading.

New Zealand won the gold medal, while Chile came in 2nd place, besting teams from Europe, the Americas, and Australia.

The 2014 ICU worlds saw over 105 nations compete in various divisions, attracting more than 17,000 athletes.
