A few days before the October 25 Philippine launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Smart Communications has revealed that the device is already available from the telco’s premium postpaid brand, Smart Infinity.
Besides LTE data, every subscription gives you access to a dedicated international concierge service and exclusive privileges through the Smart Infinity Lifestyle app.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is available for free at Infinity Aspire Plan 3500 with a 30-month contract.
If you want a Samsung smartwatch that can make calls, send text messages and emails, and access the Web to go along with your new gadget, Smart is also offering a “Galaxy Note 4 and Gear S” bundle to those who have signed up for the Infinity Prestige Plan 5000.
For the complete package, choose the Infinity Premium Plan 8000, which gives you the phone and the smartwatch, along with a 32-inch TV, P14,000 worth of gift certificates, or tickets to Broadway musical “Chicago.”
Recall that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is about the same size as the previous model and features a 5.7-inch AMOLED display. This time, though, the screen resolution has significantly improved, with the 1,440 x 2,560 display pushing the pixel density to 515 dots per inch.
Screen purists will tell you that the Note 4 boasts more pixels than the Retina HD-toting iPhone 6 Plus—and just about every smartphone on the market, with the exception of the LG G3 and the Oppo Find 7. It also comes with a metal frame reminiscent of the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, which is a welcome change.
This being a premium Samsung phone, it’s not surprising that the Galaxy Note 4 has all the trappings of a souped-up machine, including an octa-core Exynos processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable
storage; LTE connectivity;16- and 3.7-megapixel rear and front cameras; a 3,220mAh battery; and a built-in heart-rate monitor.
It runs the most recent version of TouchWiz on top of Android KitKat 4.4.4. Naturally, the S Pen stylus and an abundance of Samsung apps also come standard.
