The video of a nine-year-old black American boy who slaps his own mother for being too high on illegal drugs has gone viral.

Based on the YouTube video, the boy found his mother who was high on heroin on the street, and he repeatedly slapped his mother after she failed to respond to him.

As seen on this video, the boy can be heard shouting “Mummy wake up!” and “Can you talk to me?” before hitting his mother twice.

While many netizens condemned the act of the boy, some insisted that he was the true victim and expressed sympathy for his plight.
