Maegan Aguilar seeks Gabriela’s help, says she was mentally abused by dad Freddie

At the height of the controversy surrounding singer Freddie Aguilar and his underage girlfriend (and later wife), his daughter Maegan was one of his fiercest defenders.

That’s not the case anymore.

Maegan is lambasting her dad for being a “bad father.” In fact, she’s asking Gabriela and Muslim groups to stop supporting her dad. “I was mentally and emotionally damaged in his house. I will never return, even if he threatens to have me killed,” Maegan stated.

Fight over veggies, cash

In an interview with entertainment columnist Dolly Ann Carvajal,which was published in the Philippine Daily Inquirer on Monday, May 19, Maegan revealed her father threw her, her partner Ali, and their children out last May 12. She revealed that she and her father had a fight because of an incident involving “rotten vegetables.”

“He got mad because the vegetables that he kept in the refrigerator got rotten. I told him I did not touch the veggies because I knew he would get upset,” Maegan narrated to Carvajal.

“He also flared up because I hadn’t paid the P1,500 I borrowed from him. I used the money to buy diapers and milk for Mahi,” added Maegan, who said she only gets a P4,000 salary working at her father’s bar Ka Freddie’s on Tomas Morato in Quezon City.

Maegan has three kids: Zane, Anaya Jaira, and baby Mahi Vae.

Unequal affections

She also revealed, “When he gets mad that we [are] always cash-strapped. It’s his fault. I am underpaid. But when it [concerns] the family of his young wife, he sends them P9,000 weekly even if they don’t need the money. Me, all I got were hurtful words.”

Maegan and her family are now staying with her bandmate.

Domestic troubles

Maegan also revealed that Aguilar has a one-year-old daughter he left in Pangasinan despite being in a relationship with his then 16-year-old girlfriend.

Maegan likewise accused her teenaged stepmom of taking advantage of the situation. “My dad lets her get away with it, poisoning his mind. Is it hard to see that all she wants is his money? He’s 61 years old,” she said.

The wrath of Marlene

Meanwhile, Fredie’s sister Marlene, seems to be on Maegan’s side. In a May 15 Facebook post, Marlene angrily addressed Freddie’s teenaged wife. “Mag isip isip muna yang 16 year old na patapong p*kp*k na yan bago siya humarang sa landas mo at ng mga kapatid mo – at baka ihampas ko siya sa putikan kung saan siya nanggaling.”

Marlene went on to say, “Kahit kailan hindi ako nag salita sa issue na yan. Pero kung pakikitaan niyang p*t*ng 16 year old na yan ng masamang ugali ang mga pamangkin ko puking ina niya ilulublob ko sa kubeta.”
