Days after a sex video allegedly involving him went viral, Paolo Bediones sought the help of Philippine National Police’s (PNP) Anti Cybercrime Division to stop the clip from spreading further.
“At the PNP-Anti Cybercrime Division. Investigation has begun. Please help me put a stop to this. Thank you,” Paolo posted on Instagram last Thursday, July 31, along with a photo of a document which seems to show attempts that he’s being blackmailed.
Life goes on
It reads, “Hawak ko ngayon ang mga sex videos mo. Madali naman akong kausap! Kung ayaw mong lumabas ito sa publiko, tawagan mo ako. Antayin ko ang tawag mo! Wag mo patagalin mainipin ako.”
It can be recalled that Paolo Bediones became a trending topic in social networking sites after a 6-minute sex video spread.
Meanwhile, life goes on for Paolo, who continued his work as newscaster of “Aksyon Tonite.”
TV5 support
“Getting ready for Aksyon Tonite. I am truly blessed to have a family like mine. Solid friends around me and supporters who are there no matter what. Overwhelming love. Life goes on. On air in a bit,” Paolo posted on Monday, July 28.
He and TV5 did not confirm the sex scandal allegations, but the newscaster has the Kapatid network’s support.
“We firmly express our support for our anchor Paolo Bediones in the face of a controversy that represents nothing more than an attempt to smear his reputation. We accord our employees and talents all respect that are due them for their privacy and personal action or decision. We disapprove strongly the malicious and wanton publication of the video, an act that clearly violates pertinent cybercrime laws,” TV 5’s statement read.
