Magnitude 6.0 earthquake jolts Luzon

A magnitude 5.7 earthquake rocked Luzon at Sunday morning, which was later on raised to 6.0.

The quake’s epicenter was located 13 kilometers southeast of San Antonio, Zambales with a depth of 85 kilometers said the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

The tremors were also felt in Metro Manila. Phivolcs added that aftershocks are expected from the quake although no damage to infrastructure is expected.

Different levels of the quake were felt in the following areas:

Intensity IV – Pasig City, Pasay City, Manila, Quezon City, Makati City, San Mateo, Rizal, and Hagonoy and Obando in Bulacan

Intensity III – Tagaytay and San Miguel, Tarlac

Intensity II – Baguio City and Batangas City
